NBC Will Air “The Cape” Finale On-Line

March 2, 2011 By Mike Hickerson 6 Comments

If you’re keeping track at home, you may have noticed that “The Cape” only aired nine of its ten completed episodes.

Monday night’s episode was the final one that will run on NBC but fans wanting to see the 10th episode can catch it on-line.

NBC will stream the 10th episode on its web site.

No word yet on when the episode will begin its run on-line.

Given the decline in ratings for the show and the cut back of the first season from 13 to 10 episodes, it’s highly unlikely we’ll get a second season of the show.

If they aren’t going to wrap anything up I won’t bother. I’ll watch the one that’s on the DVR and let it go.

I liked the show but watching streaming video on a 96″ screen is painful and if the show’s not coming back anyway what’s the point?

It’s too bad the Cape is going away. I enjoyed the show from the beginning and while I know some people didn’t like it, I think it’s because they went in with the wrong attitude.

NBC did try though to an extent. They did advertise for the show and provided extra content and even a contest. With a little luck, they will let a comic book company continue the series or at least resolve the issues.

Without The Cape, there’s no reason to stay on and watch Harry’s Law which is a pretty good show. I want to find out what happens to the albinos.

Ok this sucks. Every show I get into gets the boot and then to top it off, if you want to see the last episode you have to do it via internet stream. NBC sucks as well as the other networks that do this. No wonder ratings go down. You piss off people and you expect them to come back? No, they, we find other means of entertainment now. Screw T.V. if this is what its going to be like now.

    That’s nice.

No use for anyone out side the U.S though.

But then I get the feeling that a lot of those people in charge don’t see anything beyond there borders.

That’s really pretty crappy of them. Not everyone has broadband.

I finally gave up on The Cape. I watched the recent 2-part episode and afterward, I’m thinking to myself, “Why am I still watching this?” It’s all but officially canceled. The last episode isn’t even going to be shown on TV. I never liked the lead character (although I did like many of the supporting characters). With all the shows that I want to watch, I decided to delete this week’s episode off of my DVR without having watched it. The show had a lot of potential. Too bad it didn’t work out for the better.
