All New “Being Human” Airs Monday

February 17, 2011 By Mike Hickerson 4 Comments

BEING HUMAN: (Monday, February 21 9:00 ET) — “It Takes Two to Make a Thing Go Wrong”

In the next all-new episode of Being Human, Aidan and Josh discuss a break-up with Josh’s sister Emily. Little do they know that due to the break-up, Emily is going to need a place to crash.  She claims with assumption that it’s okay with Aidan, and he says it is Josh’s sister, only to leave the decision in Josh’s hands.  When Josh asks for how long, Emily replies, “Just until I get back on my feet.”  If they do decide to let her stay, will she even stay safe until she gets on her feet while living with a vampire, werewolf, and ghost?  You have to watch the clip and tune in to Syfy on Monday at 9/8c to find out!

I haven’t been blown away with this version of Being Human by a long shot and am looking forward to the return of the British version Tomorrow on BBC America, however I have liked a few twists they have put in this version…Josh’s sister Emily being one of them. It will be interesting to see where they go with it.

Also would love to see them bring in Josh’s ex-fiance. George’s family past is something they never really explored in the British version.

I have to be honest and admit that I’m OK with this version. I was expecting to hate it, but Ive liked the twists they’ve put in from the original. I’ve said before, that if they had just gone and done a completely faithful retelling of the original I’d have no interest in it. That’s not the case. It’s not perfect, but it’s pretty decent IMO. Still will take the original over the new version any day. I’m really looking forward to season 3 starting tomorrow on BBC America.

Personally, I really like this new series. I went in thinking I was going to hate it. WANTED to hate it. I don’t. Not even a little bit. I LOVE the original BBC version, but I truly have found a place for the US version. It’s slightly different… but it’s GOOD.
