You can watch sporting events in 3-D. You can watch movies in 3-D.
But you won’t be able to watch the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton in 3-D.
Plans to broadcast the ceremony in 3-D have been nixed reports TG Daily. The couple has decided to not allow 3-D cameras during the ceremony.
The issue comes from the size of the camera required to film and broadcast in 3-D. Simply put–the cameras would take up too much space in Westminster Abby and the couple say that not enough people have 3-D sets to make it worth the extra hassle.
British newspaper Daily Mail said that may have been the “official” reason, but there were probably other concerns. “3D might have been just one step too far for Kate and William, let alone the Queen,” wrote the paper.

I can’t believe they would have considered it in the first place…this 3D thing is getting a little out of hand.
