Slice of SciFi #300: VoiceMail Show

February 4, 2011 By Summer Brooks 5 Comments

Here it is!  The big 300th VoiceMail show!!

This is the show where our loyal, adoring, and inquisitive fans and listeners get to hear us comment on their comments about our stories and comments… it’s the Circle of Entertainment Life!

We do want to hear your comments and feedback… No, really, we do! Pay no attention to how much Mike grumbles about them — you know, that guy sitting in the dark corner with all of the blinky lights, the knobs and the scotch.

This week, Mike, Brian, Sam and Tim respond to the questions and comments posed by your voicemail submissions, and as always, BEWARE SPOILERS!!

    Hi Gang,

Where can we vote on the submissions during this VM show, or is that just host Prerogative. Forget 211, this might be your best VM show I’ve ever heard. It was so good I listened to it twice mainly to see if I liked the submissions I liked on the first time and it was just a riot. Sam with the 300 theme, Brian being Brian, and Tim and Mike being the sane ones. It was just hystarical and should be remembered fondly.

Also, I think listening to old episodes helped me appreciate this one more. I mean during the intro you guys were playing the old theme and the “Welcome to Trek United” and I was like, “Hey, I remember that.” Which episode was the whole joust/frogger (And is it anything like the Seinfeld episode 😉 ) thing.

Congrats on 300 guys and keep up the awesome work. BTW to the guy who had the song (Second submission), is there a place I can download it? I know it’s not going to be the theme song, but man I was really really impressed.

    Oh, I forgot one thing,

I know you guys have spoken against this kind of thing but there is one thing that is holding me back from losing Cable entirely, Sports. Next to being a Scifi Fan, I’m also a big Sports fan (Kind of like double your pleasure, double you geek thing) and I love watching stuff like the NFL, MLB, and NHL. Yeah for the NHL and MLB I can get the packages, but they black out the local teams (Go Giants, your 2010 World Champions 😉 ), and without cable, I couldn’t watch the games. Yeah I can go to a bar or a friends house, but other than maybe this Sunday for the Super Bowl, I would prefer watching it on my High Def TV instead.

Thanks Greg. I can clip the begginning and end and provide a link to the song file, it just might take a week or so ’cause there’s some house re-arranging going on here.

    Here you go

if that link doesn’t work you can go to skiznot.com and I created a tab called slice of ska. I know right clicking on that link works for download.
