Actress Lucy Lawless has signed on for a guest stint on the show.
Television blogger Michael Ausiello confirmed the news yesterday.
According to Ausiello, Lawless will play play a powerful woman and potential adversary for the Powell clan whose agenda could put the family in danger.
Lawless’ character will appear towards the end of the season and its hoped her storyline will help carry the series into a second season.
The show is currently on the bubble for renewal according to industry analysts.
Lawless is best known for her work on “Xena” and “Battlestar Galactica.”
