In a slow weekend at the box-office, the newly opened “The Rite” was able to scare up enough audience to take the top spot. The film took in $15 million on its opening weekend according to box office estimates.
In second place was “No Strings Attached” with Natalie Portman. The comedy took in $13.7 million in its second week of release.
Third place went to Jason Statham’s “The Mechanic” with $11.5 million.
Rounding out the top five were “The Green Hornet” with $11.5 million and Oscar-nominee “The King’s Speech” with $11.1 million.
