We already know the Hulk is making a TV comeback and that Marvel is working an adaptation of “Cloak and Dagger.” Add to that list “AKA Jessica Jones.”
The comic series was created by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Gaydos for the series “Alias,” part of Marvel’s MAX imprint for mature readers. In the series, Jones has come down with post-traumatic stress disorder in light of her career as the superhero Jewel, leading her to a new line of work as a private investigator. Although she vows to abandon her super-powered ways, Jones finds herself sucked back into the world of capes and tights before long.
The series is being developed for ABC according to Variety. Writer Melissa Rosenberg is working on the script. “Twilight” fans will know Rosenberg from her work on the screenplay for “Eclipse.”
According to Variety, enough work has been done on prepping Jessica Jones for the small screen that we could see the character get her own show before Hulk or Cloak and Dagger.
