“Locke and Key” Adds Lead Cast Member

The cast for the upcoming pilot for “Locke and Key” has added another key (no pun intended) cast member.

Actress Sarah Bolger is on board to play Kinsey Locke, one of the three siblings the television adaptation will center around. Earlier this month, it was announced that Miranda Otto will play Nina Locke.

In “Locke & Key,” a normal family is torn apart after an unspeakable tragedy claims the patriarch’s life. In light of their father’s death, the three Locke children — Tyler, Kinsey and Bode — move with their mother Nina to Keyhouse, a mysterious New England mansion located in Lovecraft, Massachusetts.

Not all is as it seems at Lovecraft; the mansion boasts supernatural and transformative qualities that manifest in the form of keys and doors that grant the children with various powers. Worse still is the hate-filled creature lurking within the depths of the manor, waiting with decreasing patience to overpower the Lockes and claim its rightful prize.

Bolger may be familiar to readers from her work on Showtime’s “The Tudors.”
