Following the success of its app store for iPhones, iPods and iPads, Macinstosh is reportedly readying an app store for its desktop and laptops.
According to TG Daily, the computer giant is working on a store that is similar in concept to those for its popular tablet machines and handheld devices.
The new apps store was originally thought to be part of the upcoming OS X update which would be released early next year. But new reports on Apple blog AppleTell say developers are being told to prepare for the imminent launch, saying some were told to be ready for it to go live as early as today.
Apple has confirmed the existence of the Mac App Store when it teased the idea in October. It didn’t give a firm launch date then, but now it sure looks like it’s ready.
