Aaronofsky Confirms “Wolverine” Sequel Title

November 15, 2010 By Mike Hickerson 4 Comments

Would you rather forget about the first Wolverine movie?

Director Darren Aaronofsky apparently feels the same.

In a recent conversation with Hitfix, the director says that his upcoming Wolverine movie will have called “The Wolverine” and will have little or nothing to do with the first film. Hitfix says Aaronosky calls the movie a “one-off” and that is will “not be a sequel in the conventional sense.”

That includes ties to the “X-Men” franchise as a whole, not just the first “Wolverine” film.

We’ll keep our eyes and ears open for details as they develop.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I really liked the Wolverine movie.
And everytime I watch it, I thank the Gods and Goddesses for the people who made Hugh Jackman’s jeans.
I’m just sayin’…I’ll be in my bunk.

The wolverine movie was good. Just had problems with continuity like all films. Professor X showed up at the end and Logan was shot in head. But in the first Xmen movie the professor didn’t know who Logan was and there wasn’t any bullet holes in the X-ray of his head. And we all know that it was the grafting process that made Logan lose his memory.

Wolverine was a fun time, and for that, I enjoyed it. Let’s face it, gang, comic book movies aren’t high art, nor are they intended to be. I see comic book films as just another avenue to tell the mythology, so if they don’t get the continuity exact, I don’t care.

Continuity? If your in the same realm with comics, continuity can’t mean a thing. They re-invent their people over and over
    Definitely enjoyed Wolverine
