Wheaton Returns to “Big Bang” Tonight

November 11, 2010 By Mike Hickerson 5 Comments

Get ready! Evil Wil Wheaton is back on tonight’s all new “Big Bang Theory.”

Wheaton returns for his third appearance as the evil version of himself in the episode called “The 21-Second Excitation” that centers around the gang attending a screening of ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark” with some new footage inserted.

Wheaton will figure into the plot, once again as the bane of Sheldon’s existence.

Actor Jim Parsons says part of the fun surrounding Wheaton’s evil version of himself is that the character is always able to get one-up on Sheldon, something the rest of the cast usually doesn’t do.

“If Wil Wheaton wasn’t winning all the time, I’m not sure we could get him to come back,” Parson quips in USA Today.   “Wil’s such a good guy in real life that it makes sense in a weird way that Sheldon’s nemesis is so innocuous. The fact that Sheldon’s found someone to fight so passionately … what misguided energy!”

The role, which came about after Wheaton was invited to visit the set of “Bang” a year or so ago, has helped Wheaton get other guest roles on “Leverage” and “Eureka.”

“I’m really fortunate,” he says. “I’m employed full time as an actor and it’s like I have little families scattered all over the entertainment industry that I get to visit from time to time.”

As for whether or not any fellow “Next Gen” alums should come on the show with him, Wheaton jokingly says, “Evil Wil Wheaton is doing a fine job on his own, thank you. They can come visit if they bring him proper gifts as tribute, such as single-malt Scotch, a functioning death ray, and Detective Comics No. 27 … otherwise, get the hell off his bridge!”

“The Big Bang Theory” airs tonight on CBS.

    @ Webster

Just because you do not like something, doesn’t mean it’s stupid. You sound like an arrogant p***k.

You send out four tweets, each an hour apart.

And then, next year, you tweet every few minutes to catch all the DVD viewers.

    Syndication might be problematic . . .
