He spent four seasons breaking into and out of prison. Now actor Wentworth Miller has expressed an interest in taking over the lead role in Starz’s hit series, “Spartacus: Blood and Sand.”
The series is in need of a new leading man after actor Andy Whitfield needed to take time off to battle cancer. Whitfield first asked the network and studio to postpone production on the second season during his first round with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Starz produced a mini-series prequel to the show during Whitfield’s absence. But just as production on the second season was about to begin, Whitfield had a relapse and left the series to pursue treatment.
That left Starz with a decision to make–recast or cancel the show. EW’s Michael Ausiello reports Starz was considering canceling the show, but appears to be leaning toward the possibility of having Miller or another actor take over the leading role.

Love W.Miller, but don’t think he is Spartacus. The show shouldnt return without Andy Whitfield 🙂

I’m a big fan of Prison Break, but I across with Lisa, I don’t see him playing Spartacus.
