Cuoco’s Injury To Be Hidden on “Big Bang”

October 13, 2010 By Mike Hickerson 5 Comments

As actress Kaley Cuoco returns to work on “The Big Bang Theory,” she says her injury won’t be worked into the stories but will be hidden.

Cuoco says that Penny will become a bartender and stand behind a bar for several episodes as she continues to recover. The actress was injured last month when she fell off a horse. She was forced to miss the filming of two episodes while she was hospitalized to recover.

“They’re not writing it in,” she said. “[And] I’m not going to question it. I was kind of shocked. I thought they were going to, but they’re just going to be hiding me, kind of like when you’re pregnant.”

They should have written it in, maybe from falling down the elevator shaft because someone took down the tape. Or the stairs like Sheldon did.

Are they ever going to fix that elevator? What kind of slum lord owns that apartment building?

Nice one Dave, the elevator thing would have been fun 🙂

Or maybe she was just told to deny it, and they WILL actually write it in 😛

it wouldn’t require much to write it in. just show leonard helping penny up the stairs on crutches explaining that it was his fault as he had said to sheldon that he didn’t believe him about the difference of 2mm being enough to cause people to trip on stairs.

either way i hope she feels better soon as her complete ignorance on nerdy matters makes the show much more amusing. and then out of left field knowing who steve wozniak was as she had seen dancing with the stars displays her superior knowledge of the non nerdy world.

Obviously there are lots of ways to write in an injury of this type. Much of comedy is all about the slip on the banana peel prat fall or poke in the eye. This was an opportunity for the writers to show some creativity. . I just hope she gets better quickly. The show just would not be the same without here.
