For the second week in a row, audiences liked “The Social Network.” The David Fincher directed film was the top moneymaker at the box-office last weekend, taking in $15.4 million.
The movie held off several solid new films for the crown. In second was the romantic comedy “Life As We Knew It,” taking in $14.5 million. In third was Disney’s “Secretariat.” The movie raced out to a $12.6 million opening weekend.
Fourth place went to “Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole,” the animated movie featuring owls by director Zack Snyder. It took in $6.8 million.
Wes Craven’s 3-D horror film, “My Soul to Take” opened in fifth with $6.8 million.
