Add Emma Stone’s name to the ever-growing list of actresses under consideration for the role of Gwen Stacy in the Spider-Man reboot.
Variety reports that with Stone’s work in “Easy A” as well as “Zombieland” and “Superbad” have her stock on the rise in Hollywood and that has her targeted for several high profile roles. One of them is Stacy and another is as the female lead in the reboot of “21 Jump Street.”
Stone joins an evergrowing list of actresses in the running for the role. The last rumor we heard was Hillary Duff was in the running. And earlier this summer, it was reported that there were six actresses in the running for the role: Lily Collins (Priest), Ophelia Lovibond (London Boulevard), Teresa Palmer (The Sorcerer’s Apprentice), Imogen Poots (Fright Night), Emma Roberts (Scream 4) and Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World).
