Hollywood Xpo will take place October 15 – 17, 2010 at the Hilton Universal City, 555 Universal Hollywood Drive, Universal City. Event hours are Friday and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Sunday 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

The convention kicks off Thursday night, October 14 at 8:00 p.m. with a free pre-opening day screening of Star Trek: Of Gods & Men.

Friday’s highlights will include a Star Trek: Of Gods & Men on-stage reunion, featuring 15 actors from the film and most of the crew, including Star Trek original cast members Walter Koenig (Chekov), Nichelle Nichols (Uhura) and Grace Lee Whitney (Rand), as well as Alan Ruck (Captain John Harriman) on Generations, Tim Russ (Tuvok) on Voyager, and more.

On Friday evening, The Hollywood Legacy Awards banquet (separate ticket required) will honor icons who have positively contributed to the richness and betterment of humanity through the popular arts, film, TV, music and literature.

Stan Lee, known to millions as the man whose super heroes propelled Marvel Comics to a preeminent position in the comic book industry and co-creator of Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, X-Men and The Fantastic Four, will make a rare on-stage appearance on Saturday. Ray Bradbury – whose best-known books, masterworks “The Martian Chronicles,” “The Illustrated Man,” “Fahrenheit 451” and “Something Wicked This Way Comes” — were all made into classic films — will also take center stage Saturday along with the cast and crew of Ray’s latest movie adaptation, “Crysalis”. Star Trek celebrity highlights will include Jonathan Frakes (Cmdr. Riker) and Michael Dorn (Worf) on Next Generation and Rene Auberjonois (Odo) on Deep Space Nine.

Celebrities scheduled to appear on Sunday include Kevin Sorbo (Hercules) and Star Trek stars Robert Duncan McNeil (Lt. Paris) on Voyager and John Billingsley (Dr. Phlox), Connor Trinneer (Cmdr. “Trip” Tucker) and Dominic Keating (Lt. Reed) on Enterprise.

Moore, award-winning visual effects supervisor notable for his work on Star Trek The Next Generation, Voyager and Enterprise; The Chiodo Brothers (Stephen, Charles & Edward Chiodo), sibling special effects artists, best known for their classic cult film Killer Klowns from Outer Space; Star Trek illustrator Rick Sternbach and many more.

In addition to celebrity on-stage appearances, Hollywood Xpo will feature photo opportunities with celebrity guests, autographs at the Walk of Fame, an Artist’s Alley of comic book artists offering demonstrations of their work, and much more. The exhibit hall will be filled with companies and distributors selling and displaying collectibles from the worlds of sci-fi, Star Trek, comics, fantasy and horror.

A unique grid of filmmaking workshops will also be offered, where up-and-coming filmmakers can learn from award-winning directors, cameramen, makeup artists, screenwriters, actors and more about how to make your own film in the 21st century.
