A few months ago, we brought you news that a big-screen version of the best-selling novel, “The Hunger Games” was in development.
Written by Susanne Collins, the trilogy (just completed in August) tells the story of a dystopian future in which young adults are selected each year to participate in a brutal war game that’s televised for all to watch.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the list of directors is slowly being whittled down and first on the list is Gary Ross.
Ross is the director of “Seabiscuit” and “Pleasantville.”
The big-screen adaptation is being produced by Nina Jacobson.
No word yet on who would star in the film.
