Who Could Direct, Play Dr Doom in “FF” Reboot

August 30, 2010 By Michael Hickerson 3 Comments

The rumor machine for the upcoming “Fantastic Four” reboot is picking up some steam.

With rumors that Alice Eve is in the running for Sue Storm and Adrien Brody and Jonathan Rhys Meyers are the front runners to play Reed Richards, now rumors of just who might play Dr. Doom are beginning to surface.

According to CinemaBlend, “True Blood” actor Stephen Moyer is up for the part of Victor Von Doom.

As for who might direct the film, three directors are reportedly under consideration. They are: Joe Carnahan, James McTeigue and David Yates.

    How about nobody?

The FF has a huge array of villains to chose from, like the Mole Man, Skrulls, Puppet Master, Rama Tut, Diablo, the Mad Thinker, etc, etc, etc..

No REBOOT, WE WANT NEW STUFF!

How about a movie based on Disney’s Gargoyles Series? or Buzz Lightyear of Star Command?

Or any other character that has not had a movie yet!

It used to be the term “reboot” meant pulling something out of the archives of television or movie history that was a *SUCCESS* and remaking it for a contemporary audience (aka, BSG).

Its a shame that we now use the term “reboot” to describe a “Do Over” for a failed attempt at making something. The first horrendous FF movie was only 5 years ago for crying out loud.
