Marsters Cast in SyFy Pilot

August 26, 2010 By Mike Hickerson 4 Comments

Actor James Marsters is a busy man these days.

He’ll reprise his role of Brainiac on the tenth season of “Smallville.” He’s also been cast as the lead in the SyFy pilot, “Three Inches.”

Marsters will play the leader of team with superpowers. Marsters’ character will be able to move objects with his mind, but there’s a catch. He can only move them three inches.

Marsters announced the casting via his Twitter feed and it was later confirmed by the show’s production team (also via Twitter).

The 90-minute pilot for “Three Inches” was written by Harley Peyton, who was responsible for more than 20 episodes of David Lynch’s television hit “Twin Peaks”.

Although I know James Marsters is a more well known name I’m anxious to see Kyle Schmid on tv again. Loved his portrayal of Henry Fitzroy on Blood Ties and thought he did a fantastic job. This sounds like a great role to stretch his acting muscles on. Can’t wait to see it and hope it gets picked up.

Did Mur get royalties for this “B-Grade Superhero” idea?

Three Inches… I could go there… I could… But ever since Syfy started living up to its name, they beat me to the punch…

Gazerbeam – I think the B Grade superhero idea has been around a lot longer than
Mur. 🙂 So unless she wants to pay those people as well… *cough*
