“Merlin” Series 3 Will Air on SyFy

August 16, 2010 By Mike Hickerson 7 Comments

This spring, SyFy brought us the 13 episode run of “Merlin”‘s second season.

The BBC produced series conjured up solid ratings for the cable outlet and it appears that Merlin has found a home (for now).

According to UPI, SyFy will air the third series of the British series next year.

“The enchanting imagination of Merlin proved very popular with our audience and we’re delighted to bring the series back for a third season on Syfy,” Chris Regina, vice president of programming and original movies, said.

“We are extremely excited about the next season of Merlin returning on Syfy, following the success we had with the second series,” said Lisa Honig, senior vice president of program distribution for FME North America. “We look forward to growing the audience and feeding the appetite of the devotees who already love the program, the characters and the brand.”

My wife and I love this show and glad to see SyFy had the good sense to sign on for series 3. With the maturing of the characters the show is getting more adult in nature and the writing has matured as well. Kudos SyFy.
