Wiseman To Direct “Total Recall” Reboot

August 2, 2010 By Mike Hickerson 4 Comments

The reboot of “Total Recall’ took another step toward becoming a reality last week.

Columbia announced that Len Wiseman has been chosen to direct the reboot of the popular sci-fi action thriller from the 90’s. Wiseman directed a couple of “Underworld” installments and the last “Die Hard” movie.

Doug Belgrad and Matt Tolmach of Columbia announced the news last week.

“I’ve always been fascinated with Philip K. Dick’s short story,” said Wiseman of the project. “And I’m excited at that prospect of diving even deeper into the type of world it evokes and the questions it asks. I love that the most crucial mystery our character is trying to solve is the one of his own soul.”

Tolmach added, “Len has an incredible love of the genre and a great gift for action. He’ll bring a contemporary feel to the film while taking care with everything we love about Philip K. Dick’s original story.”

Tony – Len did Underworld and Underworld Evolution. That’s two. The article says a “couple” … What part of this do you take issue with?

Wasn’t the Total Recall reboot already done?

I thought it was called Inception! 😉
