Felicia Day Coming to “Eureka”

July 27, 2010 By Mike Hickerson Leave a Comment

Actresses Felicia Day will drop by for a visit on the small town of geniuses on this season of “Eureka.” The news was revealed during a joint panel for “Eureka” and “Warehouse 13” at the ComicCon.

Day has signed on for ten episodes this year. As previously reported, actor Wil Wheaton will have a recurring role in the second half of season three.

And the implications of changes made to history will continue to play out as the season develops. A trailer for the season featured a huge jaw-dropping moment for fans. If you don’t want to know, turn back now.

Nathan Stark will return. “Hey Carter. Miss me?” he asked in the trailer and while no details were given on how he’d return, you can bet it has something to do with the alternate time line story that is unfolding this year. (Anyone want to bet we’ve seen the mid-season cliffhanger?)

As we told you on this week’s Slice of SciFi, the altered time line is having a major impact on the season and has the cast and crew feeling like the show is new again. Series producer Jaime Paglia tells io9 that he’d wanted to do the alternate time line story for a while.

“The network wanted us to stretch our wings in season four and prove we actually deserved one. One of the ideas that we had had for an episode going way back was ‘Founder’s Day’, and we had an episode where everyone would wake up and do things that we didn’t normally see on the show, and over the course of the episode they would figure out what’s going on,” he said.

And the good news is that Paglia revealed that there won’t be a reset button for the situation any time soon. He said SyFy pushed for it but he refused.
