One day it’s happening, the next day it isn’t. Or so it seems when it comes to “Ghostbusters 3.”
Now, according to actor Bill Murray, the movie is finally dead. And Murray says that the failed comedy film, “Year One” is to blame.
“It’s all a bunch of crock. It’s a crock. There was a story—and I gotta be careful here, I don’t want to hurt someone’s feelings,” Murray tells GQ. “When I hurt someone’s feelings, I really want to hurt them. [laughs] Harold Ramis said, Oh, I’ve got these guys, they write on ‘The Office’, and they’re really funny. They’re going to write the next ‘Ghostbusters’. And they had just written this movie that he had directed … Year One. Well, I never went to see ‘Year One’, but people who did, including other ‘Ghostbusters’, said it was one of the worst things they had ever seen in their lives. So that dream just vaporized.”
Of course, we’ve also heard rumors that production on the film is set to begin later this year and it would hit theaters sometime next year.
But really isn’t it better to have no “Ghostbusters 3” than a terrible “Ghostbusters 3”?

I’ve become apathetic. If it happens, fine. If not, no loss.

Whatever they do, just PLEASE don’t make it Ghostbusters 3D…
PLEASE don’t make it Ghostbusters 3D….
PLEASE don’t make it Ghostbusters 3D….
Theoretically they have plenty of options to follow up on if they take some of the stories from the great animated series back in the late 80’s early 90’s.

Oh, it could be worse than Ghostbusters 3D. How about “Ghost Movie: From the people that perpetrated Date Movie”?
KG from DC says
I don’t even care anymore. If they do it, cool. If not, *shrug*. It’s not like people are BEGGING for another GBs film…
Mike From Des Moines says
What’s worse then Ghostbusters 3D, A RE-ENVISIONED Ghostbusters 3D.
Kurt in St. George says
You know I’m almost glad its a dead project. I would rather have good memories about Ghostbusters then see them tarnished by a mediocre attempt to recapture the magic.
Kyle Nin says
I went to see “Year One” and I didn’t think it was too bad. Sure, it wasn’t one of my favorite movies that year, but I could think of a lot of movies that I’ve seen that were worse.
