“Lantern” Sequel Already Green Lit

June 10, 2010 By Mike Hickerson 1 Comment

The first “Green Lantern” movie hasn’t even finished production and won’t hit theaters until June 17, 2011, but Warner Brothers is confident it will be a hit. So confident they’ve given the green light (pun fully intended) to a sequel.

Greg Berlanti, Michael Green and Marc Guggenheim, all of whom are working on the first installment, have been hired to write a sequel.

And not only that, but the team has also been asked to write the treatment for a big-screen adaptation of The Flash, though the trio’s new deal doesn’t indicate which of the two projects they’re going to tackle first.
