I find the show underwhelming, to say the least. Boring, cliched, one-dimensional. A pity this has been renewed over FlashForward.

I didn’t actually realize that it was the season finale. It was okay, I guess.
KG from DC says
The fact that it was indistinguishable from any regular episode is what made it sort of *meh* to me. The way they twisted certain plotlines was interesting though. I’m actually interested in seeing what the V’s version of the red mist does. However, Anna’s reaction – while understandable – was sort of… out of place and just came out of nowhere. I know what they were trying to get at, but it was WAY too rushed and not well developed. So… while I will return for season 2, it’s not like I can’t wait for January to come. This has dropped down significantly on priority list.

How about a Mark Singer cameo?

This show is now down on my DVR list. When it comes back I’ll probably wait til a couple build up before I watch them.
Derek Welsman says
It was a terrific eopisode and it capped a season that just kept getting more interesting. As a fan of the original mini-series, I appreciate the new approach to the story. Retelling what happened in France during WWII is fine – but it’s been done. The version of V is so perfectly post-9/11 and is so much more a reflection of our world – how we view government, big business, perceived threats… and (like it or not) conspiracy.
If the show can stay the course, I hope for 3 solid seasons where the characters become more refined and the plot more ompelling.
This show is a VICTORY for sci-fi in 2010.
Cheers!

We can only hope they change their minds and kill this show. The final proves that they have no clue on how to make good scifi. Time to watch re-runs of TNG, BSG, or heck, even Enterprise.

@ KG: I think the point was that Anna was already becoming emotional but she was keeping her feelings in check through sheer force of will, but the death of her children/soldiers was the straw on the lizards back so to speak.
I really want to see some real resistance next season, it seems to me that the writers are slanting it so hard towards the V that if they aren’t careful they will end up having to introduce a Dues Ex Machina just to leaver the resistance out of the corner they are painting them into.

V really got going near the end of the season. I am hoping it can maintain the excitement and suspense for the second season.
