“Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time” — A Hollywood Reporter Review

“Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time” — A Hollywood Reporter Review

May 12, 2010 By Mike Hickerson 2 Comments

The Hollywood Reporter has weighed in with their thoughts on the upcoming “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.” Here’s a sample:

Bottom Line: Sword and sand adventure that’s entertaining but without substance.

Aimed squarely at youngsters and families, “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time,” which had its world premiere in London on Sunday, is a handsome, fast-paced and innocuous adventure that’s easy to take but lacks epic scale.

Based on a 2003 Ubisoft video game, the film has dash and flourish with adequate performances and expert effects that keep a far-fetched tale buoyant without leaving any lasting impression.

Please get rid of the auto-play “Featured Video” on these pages. Very distracting when I’m listening to something else and come to one of your articles.

Yeah, I didn’t realize it was an autoplay until later. Sorry about that.
