While it was on par with the first film in plot complexity and overall enjoyability, it fell short in the scientific aspects. The group I saw it with was mostly engineers and physicists, so certain parts of the 70s-era comic book science were blatantly wrong and jarring, but if you can ignore that, it’s a really fun ride.

Enjoyed it thoroughly. Loved Sam Rockwell’s performance; he really brought the crazy.

Well done, great effects etc., but wasnt it just more of the first part – best bit was Thor’s hammer…….

Not as good as the first but a fun time none the less. Jon Favreau tried to squeeze a little too much into the story leaving some characters and story elements a bit shortchanged; specifically Black Widow was there only as ass kicking eye candy. Also, I thought the way Tony Stark solved his Palladium poisoning problem was somewhat facile.

However, the critics who have lambasted IM2 have gone way overboard. You’d think they were watching Spiderman 3 again instead of the movie I saw.

Took the batton and ran. Better than the first by building upon it. I was a little bored at the end of first one but not this time.
