If you’re a fan of “Chuck,” then we’ve got a glimmer of good news for you today.
NBC Entertainment president Angela Bromstad seems to be indicating that the series is in good shape for a fourth season.
While talking to the Hollywood Reporter about the upcoming season and NBC’s new serialized show, “The Event,” Bromstad said that she was looking at a Monday night slot for the series since it would fit in well with the other genre offerings on that evening.
THR: You air your genre shows on Mondays. Do you think that will continue next season with “The Event?”
Bromstad: We have another genre piece in contention, and we have “Chuck.” We’re going to hash out the schedule over the next week.
And later, when asked about “Chuck” specificlly.
THR: Earlier you said “we have ‘Chuck’ ” when talking about Mondays. Can we put these fans out of their misery and just say it’s picked up?
Bromstad: It’s our highest performing Monday night show. We look at it as a very strong player and it’s a show that matches up with our new shows. It’s too early for me to say for certain as it’s a conversation we’re going to have next week.
So while it’s not a renewal notice just yet, it’s leaning more toward a positive sign that we’ll get more of Team Bartowski next year.
Don’t forget that “Chuck” airs tonight on NBC and features a guest appearance by actor Christopher Lloyd.

Fingers crossed in cautious optimism.
NBC is desperate for content. I’m confident Chuck will be back.
