In preparation for tomorrow night’s 1940’s noir-themed episode of “Fringe,” Fox has released a new promo.

The new hour will feature musical numbers as Fox promotes its hit series “Glee.”

You can see the episode tomorrow night at 8 p.m EST on Fox.

THE VIDEO YOU ARE TRYING TO WATCH CANNOT BE VIEWED FROM YOUR CURRENT COUNTRY OR LOCATION. 🙁

They’re all so pretty in their suits and coiffed hair. This is an awesome early birthday present! XD

Bert, Sorry you can’t see this but I, for one, hate the idea.

They have done such a good job of finally making these characters real and relatable and now this. I guess a singing episode made some sense for Glee but NOT Fringe.

Definitely going to skip this one completely.

Head on over to the Fringe site. http://www.fox.com/fringe/ you can watch it on the main page (from Canada!)

Saw it. Loved it. Thought it was brilliant. The Candyman can! 🙂

@ALibertarian — The way they did it actually works, in my opinion. All of the singing comes from Walter and the characters he’s creating within a story for Olivia’s niece. It’s not Cop Rock, I promise. (Well, except one small moment with Astrid’s doppelganger, but that’s just silly and sweet.) There are no production numbers or anything. Just a stylized Dashiel-Hammet-y world as told by a mad scientist high on his own super-pot.

I watched the episode last night and I’d hardly call it a musical. But 1940’s noir-themed? Yeah, except for some of the modern things in it, like cell phones and flat screen computers. It’s like a mix of old and new things. I mean, it’s just story conjured up by Walter. So it could really be anything he wants it to be, whether it makes sense or not.
