A few months ago, we brought you news that “Max Headroom” was headed to DVD.
Now details about the five-disc set are starting to emerge. TV Shows on DVD reports the set will hits stores on August 10 and will retail for $49.97. The site says the product will feature lenticular packaging.
DVD producer Brian Ward has stated at the Shout! Factory message board that English closed captions will be included. He’s also hinted there and on Twitter at some fabulous bonus material, including roundtables and interviews with cast members of the show! In fact, he tweeted this picture last Thursday, teasing fans about the shoots he is doing for the extras.
Dave in NY says
This show was certainly ahead of its time… About “20 minutes into the future”!
Will it have the UK Pilot for the show included?
TallGrrl says
YES!
It’s about time! Now I’ll be able to re-cycle those VHS tapes that I got…from…a ‘friend’ in the industry who was able to hook me up.
: )
Edmund from Greenville says
Awesome news, and way too long overdue! (Max Headroom DVD!…..25 Years into the future?!?!?!) I will finally get to retire both the aging tapes I made when SciFi ran it in the ’90s, and the homemade DVD set I made from those before they degraded away.
I actually got word via Amazon’s email alert yesterday, announcing pre-orders for $34.99. Perhaps one of the nice Farpoint folks (Summer, got a minute?;- )) could set up one of those Amazon linkies that’ll give Slice some love when we place our orders?
