Exactly Art. How soon we forget. Or even, Pretty Baby with a 13 year old Brooke Shields playing a brothel prostitute pleasing sleazy adult males, and then there was the first – Paper Moon, which starred a 10 year old Tatum O’Neal, which also garnered her an Academy Award (the youngest to ever win in that category back in 1973). I also just remembered a 14 year old Natalie Portman in “Leon” (the Professional) opposite the great Jean Reno.
Chloe Moretz isn’t the first and won’t be the last. They are called movies for a reason. It is a place where one can dismiss reality without the need to be judgmental of the mores of the characters involved in the film, regardless of their age. Can anyone say “The Omen”.

Here’s a better question: what will be more disturbing at Comic Con: The adult women dressed up as Hit-Girl, or the adult men dressed up as Hit-Girl? 🙂

Yicks! If I had to vote it is the adult men.
YUP! Hollywood is replete with examples of the debasement of children. Saying that, I liked this movie. I would not take my kids to see it though. Now that would be uncomfortable.
