There may be hope for the Captain America movie after all.
CinemaBlend reports that Joss Whedon is being given a chance to rewrite the script. The original script by Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus will be given a pass by Whedon.
Marvel is hoping that Whedon can unify the storyline for “Captain America” with that of the entire Marvel film continuity, which is set to culminate in 2012 with “The Avengers.”
Why would Marvel want Whedon to do that, you ask?
Well, we have the details on this week’s Slice of SciFi which records live tonight on UStream and will be released Saturday morning.

I see this ending the same way his “Wonde Woman” tint ended… creative differences.. he leaves the project. He’s a great fanboy choice, but he has ONE movie to his name. A GREAT movie, but one. However, he does great with ensembles, so this will be interesting SHOULD he remain on the project.
