If You Can Only Save One “Bubble” Show, Which Would It Be?

April 12, 2010 By News Droid 29 Comments

A couple of genre shows have been given the green light for a new season, while others are still in limbo.

Of those shows still in limbo, if you could only have one show return next year, which one would it be?

Tough call between Human Target and Chuck, but only because for the last few episodes Chuck has drifted closer to a Human Target wannabe.

We’ll see what happens in the six episode season part-B, but these last few weeks Human Target offered up the more enjoyable shows.

In case anyone takes offense, I speak only for myself and my soulmate. To them who don’t agree, good for you.

I agree. I enjoy Chuck a lot but Human Target is a really fun show too.

    Easy Choice. Chuck!

Chuck will likely be safe due to NBC’s screw-ups. I’m voting for Human Target!

I’d love to see V and FlashForward given another season to prove itself… but who knows. I’ve not watched Caprica yet, so I have no idea.

Human Target was my second choice after Chuck. I enjoy a little humor in my shows.

Well there are two shows on here I want to come back, but one of them only so it can tie up some plot threads then wrap up, so I’ll go with the one I’d like to see continue for a bit longer than just a wind-down season; Caprica.

Chuck, no question. I can’t believe it’s a bubble show again. I thought we settled this past winter.

I agree with those who say Chuck is probably safe. I could live with Flash Forward having one tidy season to tell its story. V is interesting, but since we haven’t seen the full measure of what the latest showrunner is bringing to the table, I can’t say I care enough yet to want it to return.

I’d have to go with Caprica. It has great potential, and I really liked where it was going at the end of the initial 10-episode run.

Caprica by a hair. I enjoy some of these shows but wouldn’t be terribly heartbroken if any of them went away so it’s all about who might have the most untapped potential. Heroes ended in a nice place with out a lot of momentum to the next volume but a really tight kick-ass story could be in the future and I would hate to miss that too.

    YEP Easy Choice. Chuck!!!!!!!!

Definitely Chuck!! V is really good, and I’d be sad to see it go. Everything else, except Ghost Whisperer (which I will never watch), I’ve gotten bored with…

Should Chuck even be in that list…I thought I heard that it was more than likely coming back. My own personal choice is Caprica since it’s really the only one I watch on a regular basis. I tried both Flash Forward and V and dropped them pretty quickly…they just weren’t that interesting. Heroes died after the first season in my opinion.

Well, Chuck hasn’t been officially picked up for a new season. So, until it gets a green light, it’s technically on the bubble.

This is IMPOSSIBLE!!!! Medium and FlashForward are really good shows. Human Target is really growing on me. V and Ghost Whisperer can say bye bye as far as I’m concerned. I’m really starting to like Caprica. I’m just glad that Stargate Universe isn’t on this list. I am totally hooked!!! Is Heroes still on???

I’ll be the first to say it…HEROES…(ok, so I’m the only one to say it)

  16. Arkle says

    April 13, 2010 at 4:50 am

Tim: I would’ve picked Heroes if Caprica wasn’t on the list.

  17. Bill from Albuquerque says

    April 13, 2010 at 2:48 pm

I would vote for Caprica since it is now starting to make headway. I think its time for Heroes, which got royally screwed by the writers strike a couple of years ago, and Medium, which insults the intelligence of most of the people I know, should be mercifully put out of their misery but probably won’t since NBC can’t afford to cancel them.

  18. Sam says

    April 13, 2010 at 3:37 pm

Definitely “Chuck” with “Human Target” and “Caprica” not far behind.

  19. Michael Falkner says

    April 13, 2010 at 4:23 pm

Didn’t SciFi already say that they were behind Caprica for the “long haul”? I interpreted that almost as an automatic renewal.

Based on premise alone, FlashForward seemed to me to be a one-season story. I never expected a second year out of it.

I would love to see either V or Caprica get picked up for a second season, but since I can only pick one, my vote is for Caprica.

For the record, I’ve never seen a full episode of Chuck. It never quite engaged me as something I wanted to watch.

Anything but Ghost Whisperer or Medium- GIve me Break please

  21. Sam says

I watch Ghost Whisperer for one reason…..and I think we all know what that is. 😉

  22. ejdalise says

    April 13, 2010 at 7:20 pm

Only one reason? You must have a very discriminating eye.

  23. Arkle says

    April 13, 2010 at 8:15 pm

I don’t care about CBS’s Friday night genre shows at all. I don’t watch either the show with the hot psychic, nor do I watch the Ghost Whisperer.

    😉

  24. ejdalise says

    April 13, 2010 at 10:11 pm

Yeah, but I’m sure you’d watch if Megan Fox guest-starred on the episode.

  25. Michael Falkner says

    April 14, 2010 at 12:04 am

Sure I’d watch if Megan Fox guest-starred, but only if her role was as a mime who compulsively wore a paper bag over her head 23.9 hours out of the day.

  26. Shadoglare says

    April 14, 2010 at 4:26 am

Considering V is the only show on the entire list I find even remotely interesting, I’ll go with that one…

  27. Michael Hickerson says

    April 15, 2010 at 6:01 pm

“SGU” has a second season pick-up, hence why it’s not on the list.

“Heroes” is being touted as pretty much dead and gone. USA Today didn’t even list it in its Save Our Shows survey. Not good…

Caprica may have SyFy’s enthusiasm, but it hasn’t shown it yet with a renewal. I expect the second half of the season’s ratings will be a major factor.

  28. Robin says

    April 16, 2010 at 5:03 pm

    @Sam — I think that’s technically two reasons. 😉

I like caprica and flashforward a lot, hard to decide. Then I like V also. I really hope Sci Fy network picks up legend of the seeker, my favorite show on the air right now.
