Curious to see what Disney and producer Jerry Bruckheimer have in store for us when “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” hits theaters on July 19?
Well, you can get a taste with the new longer theatrical trailer that was just released.
The film stars Nicolas Cage and Alfred Molina.

That does not look like what I thought it would look like. I figured it would be a live action remake of the classic fantasia story “The Sorceror’s Apprentice”.
Looks like it will be a fun movie. I am sure Nick Cage will add his odd blend to the mix and it will be a good one to see. Hopefully the trailer isnt the best parts of the movie, as we have seen in the past.
Very Awesome!!
I was impressed with the first trailer as well. I may actually enjoy this one. I mean yeah, it seems silly now, but how many of thought Pirates of the Caribbean was gonna be horrible when we first learned about it?
Hmmm… that could get seen.
Wait . . . PotC was horrible.
Well, OK, not horrible. More like annoyingly bad.
For the life of me I can’t see what people see in Depp. The last good movie he made was What’s Eating Gilbert Grape (he was OK in the other offering from that year Benny & Joon)
To me he always comes across as playing Johnny Depp, with the character taking second stage.
ej: That’s your opinion, but while the sequels may have split the fan community, you’re frankly the first person I’ve ever met to slam the first one.
For my tastes, it looks like just another Jerry Bruckheimer movie, but given his past movies that’s not may not entirely be a bad thing. While his past movies are flawed, I have found them to be enjoyable nonetheless. I expect the same from this one.
