The undead are headed for American Movie Classics.
No, we don’t mean they’ll be showing the umpteenth repeat of “Catwoman.”
The cable outlet has given the green light for six episodes of “The Walking Dead.
Based on the comic book, the series chronicles the aftermath of the zombie apocalypse. Producing the Frank Darabont (“The Mist,” “The Shawshank Redemption”), Gale Anne Hurd (the “Terminator” franchise) and Charles “Chic” Eglee (“Dark Angel”)
The lead star for the show hasn’t been cast yet, but do know that John Bernthall from HBO’s “The Pacific” will play a supporting role.
Production is expected to get underway soon and the series will air in October.
