This could be a good thing, especially if they make him more of the Ultimates version of Cap… we shouldn’t be sch sci-fi snobs.

I liked him as Johnny Storm in the Fantastic Four movies so I am willing to give him a chance. My worries is Cap is a much different character. And unfortunately Hollywood does not hire actors to portray characters, they hire actors that are most like the character they want played. If this is to work Chris Evans has to show us his acting skills and not that he is just playing himself as Captain America.

It should have been Jensen Ackles.

Mm. I liked him in Push, and in Cellular, and I think as an actor he could pull off the “Boy Scout on Steroids” vibe… not to mention that he’s beefier than he looks, if you’ve seen F4.

But, I don’t know, some people can pull off that whole “1940’s” thing, but I don’t know that he’s one of them.

But now that I think about it, Edward Burns has that combination of square-jawed, even-eyed, stoicism, with a smile that I can defiantly see on Steve Rogers. He has a sober face that says he’s seen horrible things, but a determined expression, that says he wants to keep it from happening again.

Man, where was HE when they were casting this movie?

Come to think of it Matt Damon would have done well too…

Well it will be interesting if Captain America ever meets The Human Torch…

I am willing to give him a chance but I really wanted Awesome from Chuck to get the role. He would have been …. Awesome.

I think that Channing Tatum would have been better. As the human torch Evans was perfect, but as Captain America…HE JUST DON’T FIT!!! Besides he isn’t tall enough to play Captain America. Cap is 6’1 or 6’2, weighs about 230 to 240 pounds, Chris evens is about 170 and stands 5’11. Tatum on the other hand stands 6’1 and looks to be about 200 pounds. He has the facial structure of Captain America as well, going by marvels art work in the comics. Anyway that’s my 2 cents.

Are you kidding…. Channing Tatum is to ghetto for the role. Dialect aside, he doesn’t even look close to what Captain America should look like. I do not believe that Chris Evans should have the part because he isn’t a strong enough dramatic actor, but Channing is an even worse choice. Not trolling, but it is true.
