Movie goers made Disney’s new version of “Alice in Wonderland” the top box-office earner for the third weekend in a row, pushing the movie past the $250 million mark. For its third weekend, “Alice” rang up sales of $34.5 million for an overall total of $265.7 million in 17 days at theaters.
In second was the opening for “Diary of a Wimpy Kid.” Based on the best-selling novel, the film took in $21.8 million.
Third place went to the Jennifer Aniston romantic comedy, “The Bounty Hunter” with a total of $21 million.
A distance fourth was the opening for “Repo Men.” The film took in a disappointing $6.2 million.
