Slice of SciFi #252: VoiceMail Show

February 19, 2010 By Summer Brooks 3 Comments

This is the show where our loyal, adoring, and inquisitive fans and listeners get to hear us comment on their comments about our stories and comments… it’s the Circle of Entertainment Life!

We do want to hear your comments and feedback… No, really, we do! Pay no attention to how much Mike grumbles about them — you know, that guy sitting in the dark corner with all of the blinky lights, the knobs and the scotch.

This week, Mike, Summer and Tim respond to the questions and comments posed by your voicemail submissions, and as always, BEWARE SPOILERS!!

Okay, I want to say up front that I don’t expect the world to rearrange itself just to please me. Or rather, I do but it never does. (One of the reasons I drink. πŸ™‚ ) But I like to listen to the regular, more structured show first and then the the looser, more relaxed voice-mail show afterwards. It just makes more sense to me that way. But listening that way means I have to let the voice-mail show sit on my computer for 24 hours. And I know one day doesn’t seem like such a big deal (Let’s remember though, I am pretty self centered.) but is there any chance you could switch them up? Release the main show Friday and then the voice-mail show Saturday? Is that doable? Would that annoy people? (I don’t want to annoy anyone.)

    Welcome back Summer! πŸ™‚

PS: Would a donation to the booze line give someone a leg up in the Brooke Lewis DVD contest? (I know the answer’s no. I just thought I’d ask. πŸ™‚ )

I would prefer to have the VM before the new regular show. The VM is sort of “part two” of the prior weeks show not the current weeks show.

Hm. That’s a good point and something we can consider. Let me talk it over with Mike tomorrow before recording and see if that might be a possibility. I don’t remember all the reasons why we put out shows when we do…. Not that I think Mike will remember either… πŸ˜‰

Just as a bit of BEHIND THE CURTAIN, this is also why we switched the recording order of the VM show and the regular show. WE found that our main show was suffering from a bit too much of the WILD CRAZY WOUND UP voicemail show when we recorded the VM show first.
