When “Chuck” returns from its Olympics break, expect to see just as many famous faces guest starring on the show. Early episodes in season three have seen Steve Austin and Brandon Routh.
They will be joined by veteran actors Swoozie Kurtz and Fred Willard for what is being called a “Hart to Hart”eseque storyline later this season.
And yesterday on his Twitter feed, producer Josh Schwartz broke the news that “Back to the Future” star Christopher Lloyd would guest star in episode 16.
Schwartz went on to say that the “Back to the Future” trilogy was a huge influence on the series (as we’ve seen at various points in the past including a DeLorean featuring prominently in season two and lines from the popular films showing up at various points in the show).
Lloyd will portray therapist who Chuck turns to when the pressures of the spy world become too much for him to bear.
GazerBeam says
Therapist, huh? I wonder if his last name will be Brown… 🙂

Lloyd’s a great choice. Casting guest stars has always been one of the strengths of the show, from Scarecrow and Morgan Fairchild as the Awesomes to Chevy Chase as the evil Folcrum mastermind and Scott Bakula as Chuck’s father, I don’t thing there’s been a miss-cast yet.
Marshal says
Casting Christopher Lloyd is genius! People need to quit whining that they haven’t seen Chuck and Sarah get steamy (even though they have) and see this show for the complete awesomeness that it is.
