For the upcoming reboot of the Spider-Man franchise, newly appointed director Mark Webb says he wants to follow the reboot formula used in “Ultimate Spider-Man” and re-create our favorite web head on the silver screen.
The film will be a smaller one–in terms of budget, at least. Sony says that the budget for the film will be in the neighborhood of $80 million. That’s down considerably from the proposed $250 million price tag for the Sam Raimi directed version of “Spider-Man 4.”
Webb also says that he wants to find an unknown actor to take on the role of Peter Parker aka Spider-Man for the upcoming film. This news could squash rumors that Robert Pattinson was in line for the role, something for which many fans rejoiced.
Webb also says that he’d like to see a trilogy of films about the web-head. The movies would find Peter dealing with the death of Uncle Ben and his new powers. Hopefully, they’ll avoid a retelling of the Spidey origin that was covered in the first installment.

If they reboot then can they get Samual L. Jackson to do a cameo?
