I like Flash Forward better. But I think V made a bigger impression on the audiance in general.

I second that opinion. “V” is a remake of an older IP, so it generated more buzz than a new show, with only somewhat vague references to Lost. But I personally enjoyed FlashForward more.

I agree, V successfully built on the popularity of its original, so it had a better trampoline from which to start marketing.

FlashForward, however, seems to be the better of the two shows.

I loved V as a kid and was really looking forward to the remake, and although I’ve enjoyed the remake, the pacing and much of the dialog have left a lot to be desired.

I actually disagree on both counts – I feel like Flash Forward had a lot more press, but V is the better show. Better paced, more likable characters. V also is more blatantly science fiction, so I’m worried its going to have to fight harder to stay on the air.

V is much Better. FlashForward is boring and simple and slow, it doesn’t take long to figure out what is going on and it’s trying to be a Lost replacer by throwing random shit out there to be explained later. That’s just bad filmmaking. V isn’t trying to be like Lost, it’s being a show, and a quality one at that. And while V is based off a previous show, Flashforward is based on a novel, so I think they both have about the same fanbase to kickstart them.

I don’t really care about either of these shows and am not sure I will pick up either of them when they come back. Flash Forward has a few “holy crap!” moments but V is just boring.

Andrew: I’m with you. Fact is I haven’t watched ANYTHING on ABC since NYPD Blue went off the air. Well, Scrubs, the first season it moved over. I haven’t been watching the “re-booted” Scrubs though. From what I’m told I’m not missing much.

I tried the new Scrubs and it’s very disappointing-took it off the DVR a couple weeks ago. The wife and I were watching Eastwick but it’s been canceled so ABC will mean “Another Boring Channel” pretty soon for us.

V is been there done that, while Flash Forward has yet to hit its stride, I’m still predicting the future (as well as the past) is all in parallel universes, and that is what I expect FF to reveal. So the glimpses are something like A Christmas Carol of things that will be if nothing changes its course. However any one change could multiply into changing everything.
