Fox Will Air “Lost” “Fringe” Episode

December 22, 2009 By Mike Hickerson 3 Comments

Remember at the end of last year when we heard about an extra episode of “Fringe” that was filmed for season one but held-over for season two?

If you’ve been wondering if or when it might air, we’ve got some news for you.  Fox has scheduled the episode to air Monday, January 11 at 9 p.m. EST.   For those of you still watching, it will be directly opposite a new episode of “Heroes.”

The episode is called “Unearthed” and will feature the character of Charlie played by Kirk Acevado.  Fans may recall that Charlie was written out of the show earlier in the second season.

In “Unearthed,” a teenage girl is pronounced dead; however, when her mother takes her off of life support so her organs can be donated, the girl wakes up screaming in alphanumeric code. Talk about a rude awakening! The girl can suddenly speak Russian and possesses classified information that only a high-ranking Russian soldier would know.

Meanwhile, Walter (John Noble) finds some old lab videos that may hold the clue to the mystery, while Olivia (Anna Torv) and Peter (Joshua Jackson) investigate the girl’s shocking recovery.

It sure would be nice if Fox chose to move Fringe to Mondays on a permanent basis.

From reading the headline, I was afraid there was going to be some bizarre cross-network crossover episode(s) of Fringe and Lost. This, though, this I can deal with. I miss Charlie.

    Yea.
But cross-network crossovers only end in doom.
Especially if Fox is involved, seeing as Fox is evil.
