Maguire Denies “Spidey 4” Rumors

Maguire Denies “Spidey 4” Rumors

December 17, 2009 By Michael Hickerson Leave a Comment

spideyvultureFor the past week, reports have circulated that actors John Malkovich and Anne Hathaway had signed on for the upcoming “Spider-Man 4.”

The actors were set to be play the Vulture and Vulteress and serve as the adversaries for our favorite web-slinger.

At least that’s according to the rumors and reports we’ve heard.

We’ve also heard reports that the Black Cat, Mysterio and the Lizard could all turn up to battle the famous web-head in his next big-screen installment.

MTV News went straight to the star of the film, Toby Maguire to see if they could get any confirmation on the identity of who Spidey will face-off against in the movie.

If Maguire knows, he’s not saying.

“In terms of ‘Spidey 4,’ I will plead the Fifth and not say anything,” said Maguire when asked if there was any truth to the rumor. Pressed to address whether he’s a fan of Malkovich and Hathaway, and whether he’d like to see either actor/actress in the film, Maguire dodged. “Who knows, who knows…” he smirked.

Looks like we’ll have to wait and see….
