Hanningan Won’t Be in “Buffy” Without Whedon

Hanningan Won’t Be in “Buffy” Without Whedon

December 3, 2009 By Mike Hickerson 5 Comments

alyson_hanniganNo Joss, no Willow.

At least that’s what actress Allyson Hannigan tells CinemaBlend.

Asked if she’s reprise her role as Willow in the upcoming “Buffy, the Vampire Slayer” movie, Hannigan says “no way,” unless Joss Whedon is involved.

That’s a very big mistake, in my opinion,” says Hannigan.  “I mean, if Joss isn’t involved, it’s only the title.”

That even goes so far as to exclude a cameo by the actress in the film.

“Not without Joss. Joss is the only reason that we would go back. I mean, it’s just ridiculous to think of that TV show without Joss. That’s just silly to me,” she says. “And all the fans know that, too, so I don’t know what they’re thinking.”

Why is it that everyone but the Hollywood suits can see that a Buffy remake without Whedon is a huge mistake?

I thought as much, but it’s nice to hear her say it. Good for her.

The people who run the TV and Movie industry have proven, time and again, that they are idiots. A Buffy movie without Joss, canceling Dollhouse, trying to kill Chuck, and the single worst affront, the disgraceful way they destroyed Kyle XY. It seems that to be a high mucky-much in the TV and movie industries you have to be devoid of the ability to distinguish quality from dreck.

    Hmmmmm.

I just thought of an interesting documentary.
Track down the Hollywood suites and find out why they make the ridiculous decisions that they make.

And how in the name of Loyed Coufman Jr did they get in a position to make the decisions

I’m a Buffy Fanatic, in fact I found this while looking for a D/L of “Once More With Feeling” (the Musical Epi). I didn’t even know those Morons were trying a ripoff(remake). Anything without “YOU” Willow(AH), the one and only(to hell with the original movie)”Buffy”(SMG), and “The Xander”( NB), would be an assult on my senses! Good for you Alyson!
With that three a movie “might” work..as long as Joss at least has a part in the directing, and the story. It would hurt not seeing James, Anthony, and Michelle, but with you three AND Joss, it could work. No J.W./A.H,/S.M.G/N.B…..give it up and let us enjoy our memories in Peace”
