“Sci-Fi Science” TV Series Begins in December

November 23, 2009 By Summer Brooks 9 Comments

Sci-Fi Science: Physics of the Impossible is an all-new television series, exploring the world of the seemingly impossible. Hosted by internationally-renowned physicist and co-founder of string field theory, Dr. Michio Kaku, this series poses the idea that science fiction may not be so far from science fact.

Inspired by his book “Physics of the Impossible”, topics that currently seem far out of the realm of possibility will be investigated on the show, such as invisibility cloaks, teleportation, time travel and more.

Sci-Fi Science: Physics of the Impossible premieres on Science Channel on December 1, 2009 at 10pm. The first two episodes airing that night are “How to Explore the Universe” and “How to Travel to a Parallel Universe”.

Anything featuring Dr. Michio Kaku is a must watch in my book. This sounds like it will interesting, especially at a time when other TV shows are going on holiday break.

Tensaibaka, I have to agree whole heartedly. Dr. Michio Kaku is my favorite theoretical physicist because not only is he off the charts brilliant, he can translate complicated subjects into a format that my pea brain can grasp. Not only that but he makes science fun. I can only imagine that if I had someone like him when I was in school I might have actually learned something. Anyway, I’m looking forward to this series.

I agree wholeheartedly. He, and Neil DeGrasse Tyson have that great ability to take the most complex subjects and discuss them in a manner that does not seem condescending and as if they are speaking down to you. I’ll definitely have the DVR set for this show

John, I know I singled out Michio Kaku but your right about Neil DeGrasse Tyson, he’s fantastic as well. I also wanted to say that they really make science cool.

Haven’t read the book but thoroughly enjoy the series. Dr. Kaku is amazing. He makes learning this stuff seem so easy.

I love the show but was very disappointed by the episode on traveling to parallel universes. Sending a strand or two of my DNA is not the same as me going to the other universe. I would like to see how I can go and if there is any way to bring me back.

Going would be a great adventure and experience and returning could prove a benefit to this world in general.

Love this show, love everything about Dr. Michio Kaku.
This guy is amazing to watch and listen to. Hope this series has a long life.
Now if only we could get movie producers to listen to him before they make a movie.
