Singer Wants to Direct “X-Men 4”

October 12, 2009 By Mike Hickerson 5 Comments

Could there be a glimmer of of hope for “X-Men” fans?

Maybe.

Variety reports that director Bryan Singer is interested in returning to the X-franchise for the fourth installment and that he’s been in discussion with 20th Century Fox about it.

There’s nothing official yet but Singer’s interest may be a good sign for the franchise.

Maybe he’ll just start right where “X2” left off and give us a better Dark Phoenix saga film….

Singer wants to print more money, big deal. I’m done with the X-Men for a while. I’d like to see something new, maybe even something original. An original idea coming out of Hollywood; I think I’ve just committed so kind of heresy, thinking someone in Hollywood has anything new to say.

Maybe if they got Peter Singer* to direct it would be more interesting. It might end with a bunch of animal liberationist vegans committing suicide to save the sloth.

    *Google Peter Singer.

How about if Peter Singer directs it and we get the Singer Sewing Machine Company to fund it, and they do the movie about sweat shops making costumes for all the X-men…???
Oh wait… That was the original script for X-3D.

Singer directed the first two movies, right? Then I say let him do it again, because the third movie kind of stunk.

Please, for the love of common sense in Hollywood, bring Singer back to direct as many X-Men movies as he wants until the end of time!!!
