When “Whiteout” opened a few weeks ago, critics were buzzing about one thing–an opening shower sequence involving actress Kate Beckinsale.
The hub-bub over the scene prompted SciFi Wire to wonder just why critics were so obsessed with this one particular moment, pointing out that it’s not the first time a genre protagonist has taken a shower on screen.
They went on to compile a list of 30 memorable genre shower scenes from television and movies. Entries include scenes from “Blade Runner” and “Chuck” and many include video footage of the scene in question.
