It’s just ten more days until the second season of “Dollhouse” debuts on Fox.
And creator Joss Whedon says that upcoming second season feels more “centered” than the first and that he feels like show will continue the stride it hit in the latter half of the first season.
“The problem with last year was there was a question about what the show was. That doesn’t exist anymore,” he tells SciFi Wire. “Now we go episode by episode, but what are we trying to accomplish? So it’s still a collaboration, but in terms of “Oh, let’s try and mold this show to what we thought it was going to be,” that’s over. So in that sense, yes, they (FOX) have left us alone.”
With the second season comes a chance for Whedon to work with some of his friends from previous projects, including Summer Glau.
“You will see Summer around episode five or six,” he said. “She’ll be working for the team. I believe that’s already out there. She’ll be working for the Dollhouse team.”
Also joining the show in a guest role is Alexis Denisof.
“Alexis is a politician who is actually sniffing around Rossum [the corporation that runs the Dollhouse], and so he’s definitely more suave than Wesley was in his early incarnation,” he said. “Right now he’s an earnest guy trying to do the right thing, but he’s coming up against the Dollhouse, and we know how well that went for Paul Ballard.”
The second season of “Dollhouse” kicks off on Friday, September 25.

I did not even make it through episode 1! Sorry Josh, but this show sucks. You know what… if you cannot hook a viewer in episode 1… you lose!
