Biel, Copley In Talks For “A-Team”

September 16, 2009 By Mike Hickerson 3 Comments

jessica_bielThe cast for the big-screen version of “The A-Team” is starting to take shape,.  You may recall that on a previous episode of Slice of SciFi, we brought you news that actor Liam Neeson and Bradley Cooper had been cast as John “Hannibal” Smith and Templeton “Faceman” Peck respectively.

Since that time, the movie has added Quinton “Rampage” Jackson to take on the role of B.A. Baracus, the role made famous by Mr. T.

Now comes news that actors Jessica Biel and Sharlto Copley from “District 9” are negotiating to join the cast.

Copley would fill out the final spot on the A-Team, starring as ‘Howling Mad’ Murdock.

Biel would play the part of the ex-love of Cooper’s character “Faceman,” the general pursuing the team, according to Variety.

Production on the movie is expected to begin this fall.

Jessica Biel is going to play the “Col. Decker” role? A General pursuing The A-Team. Seems a little young to be a General? Might be more realistic if she was a Colonel.

I’ve got a bad feeling about this movie becoming another Dukes of Hazzard!

I’m trying to picture Liam Neeson saying “I love it when a plan comes together!” And, will he be in the monster suit? That would be a cool homage.

Biel can drop and give me 20 anytime she wants to.

I’d rather see Ron Perlman as Smith. As far as Liam Neeson goes, I could see him playing Col. Decker, but not Smith.
