I’m open to the idea, but don’t confuse that with being enthusiastic about it.

I just wish they could make the movies with the creepy/eerie feel of the games, not a straight copy but at least the atmosphere.

I haven’t seen anything but the first one all the way through. I’ve caught a few scenes from the sequels while channel surfing, but nothing that grabbed me enough to stay for the whole thing. There are only so many virus-created-zombie scenarios, and for whatever reason I like them a lot better in the 28 [span-of-time] Later franchise.

The second film was the best of the bunch. If you are going to have a campy premise like R.E., then camp it all the way. 2 did that well.
3 was also a good ride, but it is not doing much for me in the repeat views.
All in all… Milla is the only reason I watch. Without her… Meh… Who cares.

I’d agree. In four I’d like to see Milla tangle with Rhonda Mitra.

No I think Milla fits the role and I believed no one could play it better except her.

Resident Evil without Milla is unthinkable.

Tentatively I would say Milla is linked to the role to such an extent that it would be difficult to imagine anyone else on there.

Then again, they said that about Nicholson and the first Joker, and Ledger and the second Joker, and I presume it will be said again about the third Joker.

The recent reboot of Star Trek was apparently well received despite the new cast (I’m waiting for the DVD, so I have not seen it).

Bottom line, I would watch a well written and well made remake of anything regardless of what iconic actor had played the original part.

i say do the fourth film with her then remake the f****g films like the video game. im sick of milla she sucks. and the video game were way more entertaining then what we got with the film.so remake the films like the first video game it was the best and i would love a live action version with some twists and a real horror movie thats creepy.with hunters,a tyrant that does not talk,neptune,plant42,and spider, and snakes.and not to forget wesker, and chris redfield.
